About the NHE Exercise Course Instructor (ECI) Job Position:
This position does not require travel to China. An Instructor's primary responsibility is to instruct the NHE PT level 1 Exercise Course, administer the NHE PT level 1 Practical Exam, and administer the NHE Exercise IQ Test (Links are all sample versions). The PT level 1 Exercise Course is a major part of the PT level 1 certification program. During the exercise course, students learn proper exercise technique, body positioning/mechanics, exercise program development and injury prevention. The 2018-2022 NHE Exercise Course has been redesigned to specifically address the linguistic and logistical obstacles of foreign markets. During the 2018-2020 recruitment campaign associated to this particular position, our ECI staff will teach Chinese personal trainers how to identify, utilize, set-up and instruct exercise programs utilizing various types of complex exercise equipment. All NHE Exercise Course Instructors will work from home inside the U.S. and Europe. All exercise course lessons are taught via one of several video conference options (e.g. FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangouts). During all lessons, a Chinese-English interpreter will be present.
This position does not require travel to China. As an NHE Exercise Course Instructor, you will help develop and enhance the knowledge base of Chinese personal trainers enrolled in the NHE Chinese National Personal Trainer License. Instruction focuses exclusively on exercise program development and prescription, exercise equipment education including equipment set up and standard utilization practices, injury prevention and equipment maintenance. Other services which will be available to the Chinese include the necessary skills for conducting flexibility and strength tests; developing personalized strength, conditioning and weight loss exercise programs and exercise/cardio equipment consultations. Lastly, your responsibility as an NHE Exercise Course Instructor will be to test the effectiveness of the exercise course by assisting the Chinese in the administration of the NHE PT level 1 certification practical exam and exercise IQ test when required.
Full-time is 40 hours per week.
Part-time is 20 hours per week.

Professional Expertise Requirement:
Must possess a vast array of exercise knowledge with professional instruction expertise (min 5 years professional experience). PT certificate is not required. College degree is not required. Eighty percent score on 500-question exercise IQ test will be required upon being hired. Exercise IQ test may be administered two times. Administered at no cost.

There are no medical benefits or retirement packages associated to this job. In response to NHE employee/IC feedback, all compensation packages have been increased by 15% to help cover rising healthcare costs.
This is an NHE employee position, not a 1099 (IC).
Part Time: $19,000/yr. - $26,200/yr.
Full Time: $46,000/yr. - $53,000/yr.

Compensation is not dependent on workload. Compensation is handled one of two ways. Each new hire has the option of direct deposit or paper check, mailed via U.S.P.S. Pay periods are bi-weekly and pay days are the same for all NHE job titles, the fifth and twentieth of each month. Paper checks are mailed from Orange County, California which could delay delivery of up to three (3) business days, dependent on the geographical location of the employee.This is not an 'entry level' job position. A college degree may not be required for this position.
